I took a little vacation this past month—some time to rest, reset, and soak in new inspiration. While I was away, I ended up finishing my upcoming EP, which features 3 tracks.
The sound of this EP is quite different from the usual Tamada style, and that’s exactly why we’re calling it “Shvebuleba” (which means “vacation” in English)—a little departure into something new.
Fun fact: about 80% of the percussive sounds were hand-recorded in my childhood village, which was one of the main sources of inspiration. While in Paris, I also had the chance to visit Damien Vandesande @tzarmusic —musician from the band dOP—at his studio, where he added a few tiny bits of musical salt to two of the tracks. He’s also currently working on a remix of “Davrchi Marto.” Also artwork of it was shot in Paris.
Also, I’m super excited to share that in the song “For You I Would Be Enough”, the chorus was sung by Georgian super pop star Stephane. It was a huge honor to work with him on this, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out!
